Jerome “J-Boy” Dela Cruz

My name is Jerome, but everyone calls me J-Boy. I’m a former BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) worker who spent seven years answering calls in Manila’s midnight shift, always dreaming of the sunrise elsewhere. I’m a true-blue Explorer and a walang-hiyang (shameless) romantic for new places. My whole life path was a dramatic geographic shift: from the crowded streets of Tondo to a tiny, remote island in Palawan, and now I’m perpetually roaming. I finally gave up the ‘stable’ paycheque because I realized I was just an X Generation person thinking about life, not living it. Now, I’m a Freelancer (sometimes a writer, sometimes a barista, always broke) who finally turned my obsession with the road into my job. This space is my journal where I record the cultural shock and the quiet epiphanies of a Filipino traveling on a budget, chasing sunsets and simple humanity. I don’t offer a five-star guide; I offer the real, often messy, story of a life that found its true north by just stepping outside.

Kenneth “Ken” Sunga

Hello! I’m Ken, your resident Tito of Tech and Startups, who also happens to be a BD Director and a chaos-ordering machine. I’m the guy who asks “Why?” three times, not because I’m deep, but because I’m genuinely confused most of the time. I’m literally a data analyst trapped in a BD Director’s body. I spent six years navigating the treacherous waters of foreign companies, selling everything from cloud services to my soul, and now I’m escaping that giant corporate shark tank. My brain is like a Google Doc with 50 unread comments and 12 collaborators, and I use this blog to sort the madness. My mission? To challenge the industry’s existing myths—like the idea that free pizza solves everything. Spoiler: it doesn’t. My writing is purely for documenting my personal investment experiments, my obsession with cats, and the kind of brain-to-text dump that only a social-phobic chatterbox would attempt. Warning: my internal monologue comes with its own laugh track. Please send immediate caffeine assistance.
